A Masjid and Madrasa for Korea’s Muslim Community
In Incheon-Yeonsu, Korea, a Madrasa and Masjid project is being prepared to serve the local Muslim community with prayer, education, food, and accommodation facilities.
This center will bring worship and learning together under one roof. It will provide a prayer space for the community, educational areas for students, and essential facilities to support daily Islamic life.
Hadith on Learning and Teaching in the Masjid
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ غَدَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لَا يُرِيدُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَعَلَّمَ خَيْرًا أَوْ يُعَلِّمَهُ كَانَ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حَاجّ تَامِّ حَجُهُ. (طب)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever goes to the masjid with no intention except to learn something good or to teach it, will have a reward like that of a pilgrim whose Hajj is complete.”

Serving 100 Students and 500 Worshippers
Once completed, the center is planned to serve up to 100 madrasa students and welcome approximately 500 worshippers in its masjid area.
Located around 300 meters from Yeonsu Station, the building offers nearly 1,000 m² of total space. This makes it accessible and suitable for regular prayer, Qur’an learning, community gatherings, and student support.
Urgent Renovation and Furnishing Needs
The building requires renovation and furnishing before it can fully begin serving the community.
The main needs include masjid walls, mihrab, women’s prayer area, wudu facilities, toilets, carpets, air conditioning, underfloor heating, furniture, white goods, kitchen equipment, and madrasa learning spaces.

Hadith on Serving and Supporting the Masjid
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ يَتَعَاهَدُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَاشْهَدُوا لَهُ بِالْإِيمَانِ. (ت)
“When you see a man taking care of the masjid — serving it and supporting it — bear witness to his faith.”
